Researchers from the Jaypee University of Information Technology, Waknaghat, Himachal Pradesh, in India has shown looked at the ability of homeopathic medicines as anticancer agents.

The research, published in the journal Homeopathy, looked at various strengths of dilution of remedies (in mother tincture) – 30C, 200C, 1M and 10M – and their effect on lines of cancer cells.

The remedies reviewed were Sarsaparilla, Ruta graveolens and Phytolacca decandra.

The results showed that the ultra-diluted preparations and particularly with the mother tincture variations had significant effects in the respective cancer cell lines, producing both cyto-toxicity and a decrease in cell proliferation.
