Thank you for showing an interest in working with the core committee of The Health Practitioners which is a platform for integrating western medicine, complimentary medicine, alternative medicine and other disciplines for holistic health care provision. We are an international organisation with membership across western allopathic medicine, and a variety of other complimentary and alternative medicine, nutritional and traditional healing methods. We believe that there is a role of all of these in holistic healing of body and these can complement each other so as to provide the best holistic care. No one can be perfect in all diseases, ailments or problems – working together we can help raise awareness and give a to the patient.

I am really pleased that you are interested to join the group that will shape our approach to the “Future of Managing the Health Issues” and be an advocate for holistic health care. This group will aim to collect all the evidence in favour of the benefit of various disciplines of medicine and other health care systems, and co- create a document that can be presented to various health authorities and the government to allow increasing acceptance of various disciplines rather than just allopathic western medicine.

The Holistic Health Care Programme will also include other work such as;

  • Developing a strategy for future of holistic health
  • Approach influencers of health care in various countries on behalf of THP and use their steer for future of health care provision
  • Approach top medical and other practitioners to make a case for integration and holistic care
  • Approach organisations of various medical and other disciplines of health to gather support for holistic care
  • Developing a Charter for holistic health care
  • Pursuing programmes to support alternative and complementary medicine practitioners to do research and gather evidence of benefit
  • Improving the image of various disciplines of health care
  • Develop and promote the practitioner members of THP ( The Health Practitioners Network) across the Globe
  • Provide a range of training so that the practitioners can learn the benefit of other disciplines of medicine and work together for better holistic care, keeping the focus on better patient care
  • Organise conference and events for patients and public education regarding various disciplines of health care and how these are beneficial in various conditions.

Committees for the International Organisation for Integrated Health Practitioners (IOIHP)

1. Executive Committee

  • Comprises the highest-ranking officers: Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson, Secretary, and Treasurer.
  • Provides overall leadership, decision-making, and strategy for IOIHP.

2. Research and Development Committee

  • Collects, evaluates, and consolidates evidence supporting various disciplines of medicine and holistic care.
  • Coordinates research grants and partnerships.

3. Strategy and Planning Committee

  • Oversees the long-term strategic direction and short-term action plans.
  • Assesses risks and opportunities in the holistic healthcare landscape.

4. Practitioner and Influencer Engagement Committee

  • Reaches out to top medical and other health practitioners to advocate for holistic care.
  • Engages with healthcare influencers in various countries for the future steer of healthcare provision.

5. Organizational Partnerships Committee

  • Establishes collaborations with healthcare organizations globally.
  • Gathers and consolidates support for the holistic approach from various health disciplines.

6. Training and Education Committee

  • Organizes training programs to cross-train practitioners from various disciplines.
  • Promotes the benefits of interdisciplinary healthcare practices.

7. Public Relations and Communications Committee

  • Manages the organization’s public image and messaging.
  • Organizes campaigns and information dissemination efforts for holistic healthcare awareness.

8. Membership Development Committee (for THP)

  • Oversees member recruitment, engagement, and retention for The Health Practitioners Network (THP).
  • Organizes member-only events and provides member benefits.

9. Events and Conferences Committee

  • Plans, organizes, and executes conferences, webinars, and public engagement events.
  • Promotes holistic healthcare practices to both practitioners and the public.

10. Charter and Policy Advocacy Committee

  • Drafts, revises, and promotes the Charter for holistic healthcare.
  • Advocates for policies supportive of integrated health at various levels of government and within health bodies.

11. Finance and Fundraising Committee

  • Oversees IOIHP’s budgets, financial statements, and funding sources.
  • Organizes fundraising campaigns and seeks out grants or partnerships.

12. Digital Strategy and Technology Committee

  • Manages IOIHP’s digital presence, including its website, mobile applications, and social media profiles.
  • Utilizes technology to facilitate IOIHP’s goals, such as virtual training platforms.

13. Patient Advocacy and Public Education Committee

  • Creates initiatives to educate patients and the public about various disciplines of healthcare.
  • Works to ensure patient needs and voices are at the forefront of IOIHP’s efforts.

14. Ethics and Standards Committee

  • Sets and maintains the ethical standards for holistic practices.
  • Provides guidance on ethical dilemmas and ensures all IOIHP activities adhere to the highest ethical considerations.

Each committee would ideally have a chairperson or director leading the team, and all committee leads would frequently communicate and coordinate with the Executive Committee to ensure alignment of goals and seamless execution of the organization’s mission.
